Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
To recruit, phone interview, and screen job candidates to fill company openings from database, internet, cold calling list, and referrals. Operate as a liaison between clients and Physicians. Responsible for linking clients with Physicians for either temporary or permanent assignments working a “full desk”. Work closely with the Locum Tenens Coordinator who handles all of the paperwork and travel for recruiter.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Marketing - The Physician Recruiter is assigned to a geographical region and physician specialty with full account responsibility. The recruiter will be responsible for recruiting and staffing.

Recruiting - The Physician Recruiter is responsible for recruiting physicians for job assignments from various sources. (Database, Internet, List, Referrals). The Locum Tenens Coordinator will handle the credentialing of the physicians you recruit.

Staffing - The Physician Recruiter is responsible for matching available physicians to open job orders.
1. Provides information on the company, its policies, benefits, and available opportunities to physicians, clients and prospects.
2. Interviews applicants via phone and gathers information regarding certifications, license(s), experience, training, skills, locations, duration of assignments preferred and compensation requirements.
3.Checks references.
4.Update Database. Update current jobs/assignments in datbase. Remove any assignments that are outdated or problematic from the open status.
5. Presentations: Receives CV/leads from Journal Ads, Internet, and Cold Calling. Reviews all background information on prospective candidates and matches that information with the current assignments.
6. Contacts client hospital daily or as pre-scheduled to confirm the state of the interview, job offer and or closure of a placement.
7. Contact – Pre-qualify, list and update all information in Database.
8. Obtain candidates interest level, availability and location preferences
9. Present Matched Options to the Candidate
10. Close the candidate on location(s) and re-confirm initial negotiated figures
11. Present CV to client for review Close the Deal = within 24 hours of presenting CV
12. Enter confirmation. Manager must approve Assignment sheet before confirmation letters are sent. Handoff to Locum Tenens Assignment Coordinator - assignment sheet and travel itinerary.
13. Physician Recruiter will be responsible for meeting and maintaining budgeted monthly goals for their territory. Recruiter will be given a budget from management at hire date with Revenue and Gross Profit Goals.

PRODUCTION REQUIRMENTS (Quota)
1.Calls 75 Outbound Calls Per Day to Clients and/or Applicants
2. Contacts 25 Contacts (talked to) per day
3. 3 Submissions Per day
4. Must have a minimum number of billable days per month and gross profit dollars.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. May assist department supervisors in developing long-range job projections.
2. Assumes other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed by management.

High Energy- This is a very fast pace position.

Problem Solving Ability- Must have excellent problem solving skills. You will solve problems daily.
Work Ethic- This is a very demanding position and at times you will have to put in alot of hours to fill positions.
Resourceful- You must be a resourceful go to person.
Multi-tasking – You will work a full desk. If you get bogged down in details this position is not for you.
PC Literate – Must type at least 25-30 wpm and have experience working in a database of some sort.
