Schedule & Flexibility: Beeper call only.
- 24-hour shifts (7a-7a) with a 1:3 call ratio.
- Providers can expect manageable consult volumes (0–5/day) and admissions (0–2/day).
- This role is ideal for physicians seeking a better schedule with predictable call responsibilities.
Pay Rate: Highly competitive daily rate; negotiable based on experience and availability.
Charting/Dictation: Epic EMR
Call Requirements:
- Call response time: 30 minutes
- Call back required: 100%
- Patients seen: 0–3/day
- ERCP & EUS not required for call coverage
Required Skills & Procedures:
- Upper GI endoscopy (biopsy, foreign body removal, cautery, variceal injection)
- ERCP (diagnostic preferred; therapeutic not required)
- PEG placement
- Esophageal dilation/manometry & interpretation
- Small bowel biopsy
- Lower GI endoscopy
- Sigmoidoscopy (flexible & rigid)
- Colonoscopy (biopsy & polypectomy)
- EUS (preferred but not required)
- Liver biopsy
- Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertion & management
