Clinical Requirements
- Required Skills: Proof of epidurals, spinals, and blocks
- Cases:
- No trauma
- No OB
- Approximately 4,900 cases per year
- Bread-and-butter general anesthesia, orthopedics, gynecology, and high-volume GI
- Daily Responsibilities:
- Pre-ops, PACU, boards
- Some blocks (CRNAs also perform blocks)
- Floating and providing breaks during the day
Practice Model
- Supervision Model: 85% supervision / 15% own cases
- Team Structure: 1 MD with 4–6 CRNAs daily
- Block Requirements: Yes—must provide proof of epidurals, spinals, and blocks
